I talk to most people and can make friends with anyone, age & race do not matter as long as your a good person  I think if you IM somebody or receive an email that you should at least respond and attempt to get to know the person and see what they are all about!

Once you chat with somebody you may actually enjoy the conversation, pass some time and find a new friend.  It's never a waste of time to chat with anyone.  We all need to follow the golden rule!

By the way age is a number, dont think because a guy is older than you or younger that you can not chat or make friends or that you have nothing in common.  Nobody says you ahve to have sex with a guy that is out of your age range!
